Jim retired as a teacher from the Plain Local School District. He loved all things golf; he enjoyed playing, making his own clubs, and even coaching the Glen Oak Golf team for thirteen years. Being the outdoorsman he was, Jim also liked to hunt and fish in his spare time.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley and brother Lewis. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beverly; daughter Robyn Gordon; sister Wanda Crosby; and brothers Gary (Betty) Gordon, Lee (Emy) Gordon, and Ed Gordon.
