Margaret was the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Couse) Struble. She was born in New Jersey. She was the eldest of 6 children. She married Andrew Merrin (Maring) and gave birth to 8 children. Her husband, Andrew, died April 27, 1815 and is buried in the Frankford Plains Cemetery, Sussex County, New Jersey. Sometime after 1830 Margaret moved to Knox County, Ohio, where she died. Her youngest brother, John D. Struble also had moved to Knox County and she is buried near to him.
Her eldest child (and only daughter), Mary, remained in New Jersey, she married William Morris and is buried in Balesville, New Jersey. Of her 7 sons, Daniel died in childhood and is buried near his father and the eldest son George remained in New Jersey. George married Ann Margaret Swartswelder and is buried in Stillwater, New Jersey. Her fourth and fifth children, John and Jacob made their homes in Knox County, Ohio. John marrying Sarah Beers and Jacob marrying Harriet Headley. Her son, Richard, married Elizabeth Struble and they lived for a time in Knox County, but moved west and died in Cass County, Iowa. Her son Andrew, apparently lived in Knox County into his 70's, but his exact date and place of death is not known. The youngest son, Henry, also lived in Knox County, but in the 1840's moved to Holt County, Missouri. His wife was Elizabeth Metzler and they reportedly had 17 children.
