Carol Ann is survived by her children, Margaret Llanas (Richard) of Moncks Corner, SC and Nolas Byrd of Lubbock, TX; her sisters, June Stailey (Stan) of Shingle Springs, CA and Judy Tarwater (Jay) of Lubbock, TX; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a large extended family and numerous friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Joe Trammell; son, Tracy Byrd; parents, Tom and Mary Bragg; brothers, Tom and Joe Bragg; and granddaughter Christina Llanas.

Carol Ann was born in Lubbock, TX on October 19, 1946 to Thomas and Mary Bragg. She graduated from Lubbock Evening High School and completed business school coursework in shorthand, bookkeeping, and finance. She served as the Associate Treasurer / Controller for the Northwest Texas and New Mexico Conferences of the United Methodist Church for 25 years. On May 10, 1963 she married Kenneth Byrd and from that union welcomed three children, Margaret, Nolas, and Tracy Byrd. They were married seven years. On October 5, 1973 Carol Ann was happily married to Joe Trammell who was her partner in life for almost 43 years before his passing in July of 2017.

Carol Ann was a devoted mother and grandmother, better known by the family as Granny. She faithfully attended family weddings, graduations, and special events. She was an enthusiastic collector of all things and an avid rock hound. She loved to travel and enjoyed camping, hiking, and fast amusement park rides. Carol Ann was a talented craftsperson who crafted for the sheer joy of gifting her creations to others.

The family will receive visitors at the Visitation scheduled for 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 6 at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home in the Abbey Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.

Online condolences may be offered on Resthaven Funeral Home's website.

The funeral service will be Facebook Live streamed via Resthaven Funeral Home Facebook page.
