Virgil Andrew was born June 23, 1927 in Jackson County and departed this life Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond at the age of 94. He was the son of the late Oscar Andrew & Lucy (Whicker) Andrew.
Virgil is survived by three daughters, Peggy Bond, Sharon (Ronnie) Hicks and Sherry (Rodney) Chrisman. He is also survived by one brother, Don Andrew of Berea. He was blessed with the following grandchildren, Ronnie (Brad) Mullins, Misti (Derek) Baker, Mackenzie (Chris) Parker, Bo (April) Hicks and Andrew (Ashley) Chrisman; ten great grandchildren, Christian, Haley, Raylin, Brayden, Bella, Josie, Sawyer, Kasey, Gracie and Michael and by two great great grandchildren, Olivia and Kendalyn.
In addition to his parents, Virgil was also preceded in death by his wife Eula (Bingham) Andrew; by his siblings, Albert Andrew, Ray Andrew, Arnold Andrew, Rudy Andrew, Bruce Andrew, Alma Becknell, Lola Cook, Virgie Parrett, and infant siblings, Verla, Beulah, Nola & Denny. Also, by his son-in-law Paul Bond and by his grandson, Chris Bond.
Virgil was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church #1.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2022 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial to follow in the Andrew Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bo Hicks, Drew Chrisman, Brad Mullins, Braydon Thomas, Christian Bond, Chris Parker & Derek Baker. Honorary pallbearers: Keith Vickers, Woodrow Masters and Dallas Isaacs.
