Lola Cook, age 94 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. She was born in Jackson Co., KY on March 14, 1922 to Oscar and Lucy (Whicker) Andrew. She was a member of East River Road Baptist Church. On October 18, 1939, in Jackson County, KY, she married James D. Cook, and he preceded her in death in 1971. She retired from First Financial Bank in December of 2000.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Cook of Hamilton; one daughter Phyllis Sizemore of Hamilton; one grandchild Stephanie Burkhardt; and two great grandchildren, Amber Burkhardt and Thomas James Burkhardt; three brothers, Virgil (Eula) Andrew of Tyner, KY, Bruce (Henrietta) Andrew and Don (Olga) Andrew, both of Berea, KY; and one sister, Virgie (David) Parrett of Richmond, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Albert, Arnold, Ray, and Rudy Andrew; and one sister, Alma Becknell.
