Ray Curtis Rose 1929 ~ 2007

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Ray Curtis Rose, passed away on Dec. 2, 2007. Ray was born on January, 6, 1929 in Lake Shore to Albert Leo and LaVera Graves Rose. He married Maxine Rose on January 25, 1953. Ray and Maxine started their family in Utah. Ray's work led them to California in 1966 where they made many friends and memories. Ray and Maxine were married for 41 years before she passed away on May 10, 1994. Later returning to Utah he married Donna Hone on May 26, 1999. Ray served in the Army during the Korean War, and was a Sargent for the Motor Pool. Ray worked with various construction companies before he started his own business, Foundation Constructors Incorporated, in 1971 with life long friends. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge. Ray found great joy in doing anything with family and friends including hunting, camping and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Hone Rose, Riverton, UT; his children: Vicky (Mick) England, San Diego, CA; Susan L. Jamison, Livermore, CA; Beckie (Ralph) Carter, Discovery Bay, CA; Sherrie (Randy) Murphy, Oakley, CA; Debbie (Ken) Lombardo, Waterford CA; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grand-children; brothers Blair, Don and Dale; and sisters: Ellen Lotz, Alene Tanner, and Dee Adams; extended family members: Boyd (DeAnn) Hone, Sandy, UT; Mike (Charlene) Hone, Midvale, UT; Barney Hone, Riverton, UT; Darla (Val) Newbold, Sandy, UT; Brenda (Clark) Miller, South Jordan, UT.

Ray was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence, and a sister Beth Creer.

Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Payson Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. or Friday at the mortuary from 9:45 til 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery. A special thanks to Darla and Val, and Brenda and Clark. Our father touched many lives and will live in our hearts and memories forever. He will surely be missed.
