Jordan and his family immigrated to the United states, arriving in New york on September 15, 1883 on the steamship Werra, accompanied by the Casimer (Kasmir) Meisetschlager family. The Boehm/Meisetschlaeger friendship was maintained throughout the family history. Jordan was married to Katherine (or Katerina) Geiger (or Geyer)prior to 1871 and they had eight children - Adolph, Mary (Keil), Annie (Cook), Joseph Jordan, Elenora or Laura (Schoenfeld), Hermina or Minnie (F. Meisetschlaeger), Alois (Louis) P., and Emma (J. Meisetschlaeger- 2nd marriage Hirsch). There is mention in family history of a first daughter, Mary, who lived from 1871 to 1872.

Second marriage - on May 21, 1894 to Franciska (Frances) Feyrer ended in divorce - He recognized her daughter Mary Feyrer as his step-daughter). Third marriage in 1907 - Emilie Franke and Fourth marriage on September 9, 1922 - Mary (?) Fishbeck (this was a prior married name for her).

Jordan and Katherine were the great grandparents of my husband, Ray Zapalac. His grandmother was Minnie Boehm Meisetschlaeger.
