Mary Bibby Weatherly, 95, of Birmingham passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022 in Charlottesville, Virginia in the company of her loving son and daughter in law.

Mary was born December 6, 1926 to Henry Bibby (1897-1956) and Genevieve Kennedy Bibby (1898-1942) of Littleton, Alabama also known as "Bibby Switch", Alabama. Siblings: Charles Henry Bibby (1919-1941) USS Arizona Pearl Harbor, Anna M. Bibby Jones (1921-?), Margaret Bibby Jones (1923-1984), William (Bill) Harrison Bibby (1925-2007).

Bibby Switch was the home of the Bibby Coal, Shale and Clay company of Littleton, Alabama..

Mary attended Corner High School and then went on to marry Herbert Blanton Weatherly (1923-1959) of Corner, Alabama. They were married in January of 1946 in Jefferson County, Alabama.

Mary and Herbert had two sons and while Herbert was in the Navy, Mary went on to attend Wheeler Business College in Birmingham. She began her professional career at the Roderick Beddow Sr. Criminal Attorney Law Firm and later worked for 3 acclaimed Alabama Supreme Court Justices.

Mary is proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Charles H. Bibby (Pearl Harbor, USS Arizona), sisters Anne Bibby Jones, Margaret Bibby Jones, brother William "Bill" Bibby and oldest son, Steve Bibby Weatherly.

She is survived by her son , grandson, granddaughter , great 3 granddaughters and 3 great grandsons.

Mary was an avid Elvis fan, loved all sports and all animals, but especially cats!

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 10am at First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, Alabama with a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery.
