Linda Kay Haney, cherished wife, beloved mother, adored grandmother, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Sioux Falls, SD on Saturday February 1, 2020.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Miller Southside Chapel, 7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday, February 10 at Miller Southside Chapel.

Linda was born on February 3, 1963 in Virginia, MN to Richard "Dale" and Marjorie (Klefler) Sabart. Linda attended Roosevelt High School in Virginia, MN graduating in 1981. Followed by degrees in Clerical and Secretarial studies from Eveleth Area Vocational Technical Institute in Eveleth, MN.

On January 16th 1988 Linda was united in marriage to Kevin Lee Haney at Sand Lake Chapel in Britt, MN. Kevin and Linda celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. They recently celebrated 32 wonderful years of marriage, as both soul mates and best friends.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family. With a rich gift of hospitality Linda made everyone who came into her presence feel welcomed, loved, and cared for.

Linda and Kevin were avid sports fans whose favorite teams included the Vikings and Twins. They attended numerous games over the years together. Linda also enjoyed tennis, golf, bowling, and fishing with family and friends.

Linda worked as a Patient Access Representative for Sanford Health since 2014 and was currently serving at the Sanford Children's at 69th & Louise, where she was a welcoming and friendly face to all who came through the door. Prior to that she worked for Wells Fargo/Norwest Bank for 26 years beginning in Virginia, MN, then in Duluth, MN, and a number of different positions in Sioux Falls, SD. The most life changing part of her career was working at Kmart in Virginia, MN where she met and fell in love with her husband, Kevin.

Linda is survived by her husband, Kevin; their children, Julie (Eric) Williams and Michael (Katie) Haney; four grandchildren, Andrew & Zoey Williams, Mariana & Lucy Haney; Linda's siblings, David Sabart, Kathy (Larry) Meyer, and Thomas (On) Sabart; a sister-in-law, Annie Sabart; mother-in-law, Jane Haney; two brothers –in-law, Keith (Christine) Haney and Paul Haney; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dale & Marge Sabart, and her brother, Larry Sabart; and her father-in-law, Lyle Haney.
