Dwayne was born March 5, 1954, in Port Neches, Texas and passed away March 2, 2022, in Slagle, LA at the age of 67. Dwayne was a hard worker. He never minded getting his hands dirty. He loved getting up and going to work. He retired from Pride Industries of Ft. Polk, La. after 9 years. He was a member of Cooper Baptist Church in Pickering La. He came to know his Savior Jesus when he was 67 years of age. He loved Jesus with all of his heart and always said in his final days that he couldn't wait to go home and meet his master face to face.

Dwayne loved being outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and being in the woods. His favorite past time was to be on his tractor and riding his grandkids around.
He dearly loved his family. He was proud of his granddaughters and referred to them as his three queens. They all had their own unique nickname given by him which was Hannah Belle, Gracie and Bug. He loved and cherished his wife Barbara of 47 yrs. Their marriage wasn't always easy but their love for each other was stronger. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and fought a long hard battle. He is now healed and at the feet of his Savior.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Moore Sr. and Gertrude Williams Moore, and siblings, Thomas Moore Jr, Karen Moore, & Brett Moore.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years Barbara Moore of Slagle, LA;
daughters, Brandie Blackwell and husband Robert of Pickering, LA and Shannon Borders and husband L.P. of Slagle, LA; grandchildren, Hannah Nicole Blackwell, Emily Grace Blackwell, and Harper Ann Borders; brothers and sisters, Sandra Hunt and husband Derry, Frank Moore, Melissa Newby and husband Sam, Ronald Moore and wife Carla, and Charles Moore and wife Ria; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Moore, Devin Moore, Joseph Fuller, L.P. Borders, Robert Blackwell, and Frank Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Urtz, Tommy Lee Williams and Wilmer White.
