Funeral services were held on Monday, April 7, for Emil Haver, 87 at the United Methodist church in Elmore at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Joyce Haberman officiated and burial was in Riverview cemetery.
Mr. Haver was born in Norway on Jan 21, 1888 and came to the United States as a young man. He worked around Chicago for a time as a carpenter and came to Minnesota several years later. He married Lucy Krosch in 1915 and farmed north of Elmore most of his life. Lucy preceded him in death in 1959. He had sold the farm and building site last fall and moved to Elmore a few weeks ago.
He passed away at the Fairmont hospital on April 3 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Roger Walton was organist for the funeral and Mrs. Ronald Nauman, solost. Pallbearers were Sherwood Krosch, George Huber Jr., Richard Drake, Russell Huber, Robert Huber, and Lawrence Huber.
Wicks Funeral Home of Elmore was in charge of arrangements.
