Christopher Columbus Gilbert, 70 of Russellville, Kentucky died on Friday, February 25, 2022, at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born Friday, March 30, 1951 in Bedford, Indiana, the son of the late Joseph Gilbert and the late Mary Dalton Gilbert. He was the husband of Alla Matwienko Gilbert of Russellville, KY, who survives.
He served as a CW-3 in the Army from 1969 until 1991. He was a Veteran of Vietnam and the Gulf War. He was also a physician assitant for Southeastern Emergency Physician and Fort Campbell.
Also surviving are sons, Nathan Gilbert of Russellville, KY, Weylin Gilbert of Russellville, KY, Shad Gilbert of Bedford, IN and Christopher Gilbert-(Shannon) of Port Tobacco, MD. He was predeceased by son, David Michael Gilbert. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Russellville, KY.
