Sami was supposed to turn 18 next month. She was not supposed to leave me yet. But she had severe kidney disease and couldn't wait any longer. She had meds for her thyroid, to increase her appetite, and to reduce her phosphorus level and her nausea. I gave her sub-Q fluids. I gave her "people tuna" to get her to eat, plus anything else I thought she would like, but these last couple of days she didn't want anything but water. She lost a lot of weight, but she stuck by me and slept on my chest at night. During the day she sat draped over my shoulder.
