Beverly "Bev" Betts, 89, of Oakland, Arkansas, formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, died on Thursday, February 24, 2022, in Oakland, Arkansas. Graveside services at Riverside Cemetery.

Bev Church was born on December 31, 1932 to her mother Euphema Harris and Garret Betts. She had three brothers, Bob Betts of California, Gene Betts of California, and Bill Betts of Marshalltown, Iowa, all preceding her in death.

Bev graduated from Marshalltown High School and worked at Seberg Drug on North 13th Street. She then worked for Fisher Controls as a secretary to Mr. Elder. She was well known by her voice on the intercom where she did a lot of paging. Emerson bought Fishers after Monsanto so she and her husband Glenn both retired from Emerson and moved to Oakland, Arkansas, where they lived for about 30 years.

They were both active within the local fire department and she loved her church. She brought lots of food especially pies to events for both. She loved to travel and always had friends who would go with her.

Her 89 years were full of life and she enjoyed most of them.
