Karen Lee (Ruhl) Frazier 5/5/1942 – 2/24/2022
Karen Lee (Ruhl) Frazier was born on May 5, 1942, to Kenneth W. Ruhl, Jr. and Thelma I. Hetzer in Marion, Ohio, the youngest of four children.

She graduated from Marion Harding High School and married youth group member Richard Lawrence Frazier on February 19, 1961. They lived in Marion until 1976 when they moved to Alliance, Nebraska and then on to Lincoln in 1982. Karen worked at Commercial Federal (now Bank of the West) as a teller and personal banker in Alliance and Lincoln until her retirement.

Her family and her faith were most important in her life. She served in various church capacities over the years: Nursery Coordinator, Bible School Snacks Coordinator, Communion Coordinator, Eastridge Presbyterian Women Treasurer, Deacon, and Stephen Minister. Karen's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She proudly wore the shirts of all her grandchildren's schools, attending all of the concerts, programs, and sporting events that she could travel to. She was a guiding force in all their lives teaching baking, sewing and love for jigsaw puzzles.

Karen is survived by children Cathy (Ray) Schapmann of Lincoln, Linda (Tim) Mills of Alliance, and Mike (Elizabeth) Frazier of O'Fallon, Missouri; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother John (Finnie) Ruhl, brother-in-law David Frazier, sister-in-law Sue (John) Cummings, aunt Patricia Lutz.

Preceding her in death are husband Richard (Dick), parents, brother Kenneth Ruhl, Jr., sister Pat (Ruhl) Winters, sister-in-law Jeanne (Frazier) Boyer, brother-in-law Robert Frazier, nephew John Winters, and great-grandson Noah Cooksley.

Visitation: Thursday, March 3, 2022, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Ropers & Sons, 4300 O Street.

Funeral service Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Eastridge Presbyterian Church, 1135 Eastridge Dr.

Memorials to Eastridge Presbyterian Church, Eastmont Foundation or NSEA Children's Fund. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Eastmont and St. Croix Hospice, with special appreciation for the rehabilitation wing staff.
