Funeral services for Brenda Wimberly Jones, 77, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, February 28, 2022 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Clear Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones was born December 19, 1944 in Beaumont, TX and passed away February 23, 2022. Brenda retired from the Red River Parish Police Jury after 32 ½ years of service, serving as secretary/treasurer. She loved her family and especially enjoyed the time spent and the memories made with her grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Jones; and parents, Codie and Mae Wimberly.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her two sons, Trey Jones and wife, Kristy, and Kyle Jones, and Codie Moseley, whom she raised as her own, and wife, Ashley; sisters, JoAnn Cox and husband, Ronnie, Vicky Arnold, and Kathy Williams; seven grandchildren, Braden Jones, Stephen Jones, Kyle Jones, II, Drake Moseley, Stephanie Beach, Hannah Savage, and Rebecca Beach; eight great-great grandchildren, Lily Jones, Charlotte Jones, Preslee Miles, Mady Morgan, Max and Zac Ridings, Mila Sadler, and Tinsley Savage; and a special friend, Janell Thomley.
Pallbearers will be Andy Cox, Stephen Jones, Kyle Jones, II, Cole Prothro, Ben Jones, and Buck Thomley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Cox, Harry Lawson, Buddy Fowler, and Pete Pevey.
