The emigrant ancestor of the family was William Eaton of Staple, Kent co.England, his wf Martha (Jenkins) and three children and one servant (Jonas called servant on passenger list however is brother to William) also the wife Martha Jenkins sister to Margaret Jenkins Lang, wid of Edmond Lang) * sister of Martha, in her will mention her sister Martha Eaton and her children now in New England.

Husband of Martha Jenkins, daughter of Edward & Martha Phillips Jenkins, they married in 1627/8.

"William with Martha his wife, three children and one servante, embarked for New England, before June 9, 1637 in the "Hercules & Sandwich". They settled first in Watertown, where he was a prop. in 1642, later removing to Reading, where he settled on the east side of the Great Pond. He became a freeman in 1653. His widow, Martha, died on Nov 14, 1680.
They had 2 children born in this country".
