She was born to Lynn and Luella Nesemeier on January 24, 1946. She was married to Jerry (Doc) Anderson for 58 years and together they had 3 children.
Rita worked at Micro Switch for 28 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Freeport and was a member of the Lamplighter Chapter of ABWA for 36 years. She also enjoyed volunteering at Lincoln/Douglas Elementary School. In 2013, Rita and Jerry, both retired, moved to San Tan Valley, Arizona.
The simplest pleasures brought the greatest joy to Rita. She loved spending time with family and friends, being in the sun and floating in her pool. She also enjoyed traveling to Mexico, playing cards and attending her grandchildren's school and sport activities.
Rita is survived by her husband Jerry (Doc); daughter Tracy; son, Scott; daughter, Nancy; a sister, Nancy Giuffre; Grandchildren, Alex, Miranda, Jessica and Katlyn; Great-Grandchildren, Natalee and Shepherd; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside memorial ceremony will be held in Freeport in the Spring at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.
