Elizabeth worked in the service industry for over 70 years, Her last position after retiring, was as the service counter clerk at O'Rear's Bakery. which, by the way, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved. You know, because "Mam Liz" was never going to turn down the opportunity to spoil them with a cookie or two. She created lasting memories for all of her beloved grandchildren.
Elizabeth was an avid bingo player and card player. Euchre and Blitz were card games that she loved to school her grandchildren in. Just when they thought they could beat her, she would come back. Her favorite line was to tell them "I give lessons every Monday night at 7 PM". Holidays were always special when it came to playing cards with "Mam Liz". More lasting memories.
She married the late Robert Lee Green in 1948. They had seven children.
Elizabeth is the loving and devoted mother of seven, loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by one sister; one cousin; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley J. Haberlee; son, Michael S. Green; great-grandchild Noah; three daughter-in-laws - Sharon M. Green, Barbara A. Schukraft and Debra K. Green; and her companion of over 25 years, Michael J. Farrell.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
