Born June 21, 1924, in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Claude Scruggs and Emma Easome Scruggs.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene "Buster" Shelton; one son, Eugene "Gene" Henderson Shelton; and two brothers, Jack Scruggs and George Scruggs.
Left to cherish her memories are her one son, Tommy Shelton, Sr., and wife, Brenda of Gretna; one grandson, Tommy Shelton, Jr. and significant other, Deb Lyons of Gretna; one great-grandson, William Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Lynn Marstin. The family will receive friends at the residence. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
