Rosetta (Eliza) Bishop of Romeo died unexpectedly on Saturday night, February 19, 2022. Rosetta was born on January 14, 1927 in Wales Township, Michigan, to the late Adrian and Mildred (Hall) Bishop. She attended high school in the Port Huron Township District and furthered her education attending St. Clair County Community College. Rosetta and her two sisters, Shirley and Irene purchased a house in Romeo and lived there since May 1981. Rosetta greatly enjoyed living with her two sisters as well as doing ceramics, reading, gardening, tending to the yard work and cooking. She is survived by her siblings; Leatha Bishop of Rochester Hills, and brothers Elwin of Brown City, Wendell of Albion, Paul of Sand Creek and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Adrian, Wilber, Roy, Howard, Dale, Philip, Gilbert, Irene, Shirley and Velma Fitzgerald. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12 noon at the Rewalt Funeral Home in Richmond. A viewing will also take place on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11 AM for one hour at the same location. Reverend Philip Bishop, Pastor of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA will officiate the service.
