Mrs. Eva Melnick,91, of 2801 Ellwood Road formerly of 1313 Croton Ave,died at 10:20 pm. Tuesday in her home,where she resided for 22 years after an extended illness.
Born March 18 1884 in Poland she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy Dobosz.She was married to John Melnick who died June 26 1966. Mrs. Melnick was a member of St. Nicholas Church.
She is survived by two sons,George Melnick of Warren Ohio and Frank Melnick of Las Vegas.two daughters Mrs. Ann Gumley and Mrs. Arthur(Mary) Woods both of New Castle.28 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7to9 pm. today and 2 to 4 and 7to9 Thursday at the John J Noga Funeral Home.The Richard Salley of St. Nicholas Church will conduct Panachida rites at 8pm today,a service 7pm Thursday and also 9am service Friday in the funeral home. A procession will arrive at the church for the 9:30am. service.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
