Married Stephen Tompkins in 1754 in Edgefield County SC.

They were parents of at least 5 children:
Stephen Samuel Tompkins Jr 1770-1831
Sarah "Sallie" Tompkins 1774-1842
Anne - married Coleman Squires
Francis - married Sarah Tompkins
Thomas - married Margaret Mabry

NOTE:
The two oldest graves in this cemetery are graves of Capt Stephen Samuel Tompkins Sr (1730-1801) and his wife Susannah Franklin Tompkins (1734-1805).
The third person buried here was the son-in-law of Capt Stephen and Susannah Tompkins, James Samuel Owensby, who married the Tompkins daughter Sarah "Sallie" and died in 1810.
The last documented burial in this cemetery took place in Apr 1871 which was about 80 years after the first burial. The last burial was Stephen James Tompkins, a grandson of Capt Stephen and Susannah Tompkins.

I 1912, McCormick County SC was formed from the part of Edgefield County SC where the Tompkins Family Plantation and Cemetery were located. The description for the Tompkins Homestead Plantation Cemetery shows "Tompkins Family Cemetery, Parksville, McCormick County (formed from Edgefield County in 1912), South Carolina. Located south of Parksville, very near highway, enclosed with rock wall, on the Tompkins family homestead of the once 1,000 acre Homestead Plantation that was settled in 1792 by Capt Stephen Tompkins 1730-1801." I am contacting the person who created this cemetery to ask the name and/or highway number of the highway mentioned in the description and will update this Memorial.
