ALA, BRYAN ANTHONY, 25, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007 at his parents home. He was a student at the School of Nursing at U of L; a nursing assistant at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital; a Catholic by faith; and a veteran of the Ky. Air National Guard where he served as a medical technician in the Iraq War. Survivors include his son, Brendyn Ala; his parents Richard and Arylane Ala; his grandparents, Vonley and Helen Sturgeon; brother, Jason Ala (Gina); nephew, Travis Ala; his fiancé, Brooke Pontrich and her son, Austyn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment at a later date in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Memorial visitation will be from 2- 8 p.m. Monday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a trust fund for his son Brendyn in care of Brooke Pontrich.
