Craig Gruhl, 30, of Seattle, Washington was a Flight Attendant aboard Alaska Airlines Flight 261 on Jan. 31, 2000 when the flight, which took off from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and bound for Seattle, Washington, crashed into the Pacific Ocean just north of Anacapa Island, California, which is located about 11 miles off the coast of Port Hueneme, California. Sadly, the crash killed everyone aboard: two pilots, three cabin crew members, and 83 passengers.

Craig changed his last name to that of his long-time partner, Paul Pulanco, when they were joined together in a 1998 commitment ceremony at the First Baptist Church in Seattle. Craig Pulanco was hard-working, compassionate and caring. Craig and Paul Pulanco shared their Beacon Hill home with their two dogs Luna & Scott, a rabbit, and a cat.
