Louise was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church and the former treasurer of the Spartanburg Chapter of the Professional Dental Assistants Association. She retired as an orthodontic assistant, having worked with both Dr. Gary Smiley and Dr. Steven Smiley.
Survivors include a son, Matthew Kenneth Cogdell (Susan Taylor) of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Carrie Cogdell of Charlotte and Matthew Rex Cogdell of Spartanburg; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Cogdell Marzendorfer of Boiling Springs. She was predeceased by two sons, Bradford McChyne Cogdell and Mark Cogdell.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC
