Miss Agnes V. Travers of 21 Madison street, Chicopee Falls, daughter of John and Ellen (Baldwin) Travers, died at Mercy hospital yesterday after a brief illness. She was born at Cummington, coming to Chicopee Falls 82 years ago, and living there since. She received her early education in the Cummington schools and was a graduate of Bay Path Institute in 1924. She had been employed as private secretary to Hugh McQuillan of the United States Rubber company for several years. She was a member of St. Patrick's church. Besides her parents, she leaves a sister, Miss Mary E. Travers, at home; a brother, John M. Travers of Chelsea, Vt.; a niece and two nephews. The funeral will be held at the Frank Tylunas funeral home Friday morning at 8, with mass at St. Patrick's church at 9. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery, Hinsdale.
