Daughter of Bryant M and LaVerna Wright Moody. When she was 17 years old, her mother passed away, and she helped to raise her younger brother, John. After graduating from Hinckley High School, she attended and graduated from Dixie State College in St. George. She moved to Salt Lake City where she worked as a secretary for Freed Motor Company. She met Cleo Ladd Christensen on a blind date. They were married on November 19, 1955 in Sutherland, UT and were sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. They raised several foster children. Jim and his brother, Jay, continued to stay with them, working on the farm. Between 1960 and 1971, She and Cleo adopted five children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleo; son, Clay; foster son, Jay; brothers, Venor and Dwight; and sisters, Myrlene and Carol. Surviving are her sons, C Wade (Kathleen Johnson) Christensen and Brad Christensen; daughters, Cindy Bronson (Judd Klinger) and Loralee (Doug) Tolman; foster son, Jim Averett; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and brother, John (Kaye) Moody.
