SUSAN THISTLE was born on the farm in Wetzel County on June 10, 1855. In June 1874 she joined the Presbyterian Church. In 1888 she moved to New York City where she became property custodian at the Ely School, an institution for deaf and dumb children. On March 21, 1892, she married James A. Prosperi; the marriage did not prove satisfactory so divorce followed. She died in New York City on May 14, 1942 without issue.
