Edna Willmetta Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Murphy was born in Grundy county, Mo., August 15, 1879, and passed away at her home near Neal, Kansas December 22, 1928, aged 49 years 4 months and 7 days.

At the age of 4 she came with her parents to Greenwood county, Kansas, where she resided until her death.

She has been an active member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Neal, Kansas since the age of fourteen.

She was united in marriage December 31, 1901, to Curg William Boone of Neal, who survives her. To this union three children were born, Irene, wife of Harold T. Grove, of Neal; William Irving and Rollin Murphy, of the home address all whom were present at her passing.

She leaves one brother, Edison Benjamin Murphy, of Hemet, California; two grandsons, Billy and Donald Lee Grove of Neal, with other relatives and a host of friends.

Through she has suffered severe affliction she has been a devoted wife, mother and neighbor, every ready to aid the sick and needy and many will miss her acts of kindness.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. R.F. Porter, was held from the Methodist Church at Neal, Monday morning at 11:00 o'clock. Entombment in Greenwood Mausoleum at Eureka.
