BORTNER – On September 23, 1953, at 12:06 p.m., at her home, Glen Rock RD 1, near Glenville, Mrs. Cora (Strausbaugh) Bortner, wife of Robert Bortner, aged 71 years, 6 months, 2 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1:30 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in Shaffer's Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
MRS. CORA BORTNER, wife of Robert Bortner, Glenville, died on Sept. 23, 1953, after an illness of a year, six weeks of which she was bedfast.
Her age was 71 years, 6 months, and 2 days.
Cora was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Strausbaugh.
She was a faithful member of Zion (Shaffer's) Church.
Surviving are, her husband; a son, Paul Bortner, Neimans; two sisters, Mrs. John Musselman, Neimans; and Mrs. Harry Miller, Hanover Junction, and two brothers, Howard Strausbaugh, Glen Rock; and Amos Strausbaugh, Brodbecks.
Her funeral was held at Geiple Funeral Home, Sept. 26th. Burial was in Zion Cemetery.
