Services for Mrs. Edna Granner were held here Tuesday from Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Griffin officiating. Burial was in Hubbard Cemetery. Mrs. Granner died Saturday at Eldora Community Hospital.
Edna B. Granner was born Aug. 29, 1888, in Grant township of Grundy County, the daughter of Daniel and Alice Grover Thomas. She taught in the Hubbard schools for several years and was married to Henry Granner at Alden Dec. 7, 1915.
Following their marriage, they farmed near Hubbard until retiring and moving to town in 1943. Mr. Granner died in 1953. Mrs. Granner was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Stanley of Hubbard, two grandchildren one great-grandchild. Mrs. Granner was preceded in death by her husband, two sister, and two brothers.
