Cedarville, ILL. - Geroge P. Confer, well-known resident of Stephenson county, passed away Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home here, his death being caused by a chronic stomach trouble. Besides his widow, Mrs. Ida Confer, he leaves to mourn his passing, one son, Floyd F. Confer, Freeport, one Daughter, Mrs. Robert Lied, Denver, Colo., and six grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Isenhauer, Cedarville, and Mrs. Mary Addams, of Saturday, PA. Geroge P. Confer was born September 5th, 1854, in Potter Township, Center [sic] County, PA., and passed away at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 14 days. He was married January 13, 1881. He was at one time employed by Smith & Thomas, Contractors, and since then had himself been a contractor for many years. He was well-liked by all who knew him, with a circle of friends extending to all parts of the country. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late home in Cedarville.
