Ruth M. Nunnery, 93, of Georgetown, passed on to her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 25, 2013. Mrs. Nunnery was born on November 2, 1919 on the family farm in Granger, Texas to Colonel and Lula Beard. After graduating from Granger High School, she married Freddy Lyndon Nunnery Sr. on July 8th, 1939 and was married until his passing in 1972. Ruth was known for her love of family and her volunteer spirit. She was active in church activities, the Tuesday Study Club, The Granger Industrial Foundation, and was a volunteer with St. John's Hospital in Taylor, Texas (The Pink Ladies) for over 20 years. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her love of dominos and "42" and for her cooking, especially her famous chocolate pies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her husband. She is survived by her son and his wife; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church – Granger, 311 E. Mesquite, Granger, TX 76530 or to Wesleyan at Scenic, 2001 Scenic Dr., Georgetown, TX 78626.
