Mary D. (Westfall) Cottrill Barnes, age 95 of Ravenna, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022.
She was born April 18, 1926, in Sandyville, West Virginia, to parents Okey and Della (Tenney) Westfall. Mary worked for several years as a line inspector for Evenflo in Ravenna. She was also a faithful member of the Ravenna Church of the Nazarene since 1943.
Mary is survived by her husband of 35 years Richard G. Barnes. She is also survived by her children: Linda M. Welty, Carol A. (Pete) Steele, Dale L. Cottrill, and Curtis W. (Joyce) Cottrill, her 12 grandchildren, her 15 great-grandchildren, and her brother James W. Westfall. In addition, Mary is survived by her step-children: Rick (Robin) Barnes, Shelly Dawson, and Terri (Kenny) Willis, along with 7 step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Dale R. Cottrill, and her siblings: Don, Howard, Virginia, Freda, Stella, Lillie, Orvie, John, and Fannie.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Reverend Tracy Ogden Johnson will officiate the funeral service on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Ravenna Church of the Nazarene, 3284 Brady Lake Rd., Ravenna, OH 44266. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
