James W. Westfall, 99 of Hartville passed away Wednesday January 5, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 9, 1922 in Joe's Run, West Virginia to the late Okey and Della (Tenney) Westfall. Mr. Westfall has lived in Hartville since 1966, was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ravenna, retired in 1981 from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Akron plant #2 where he worked as a mechanic and also worked drilling water wells in the area known as Westfall Well Drilling. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force serving in WW II as a tail gunner. His many memberships included the NRA, Kaiser Frazer Club, Case Tractor Club, military vehicle club and antique car clubs where he enjoyed going to various car shows with his wife Glee and taking their antique car with them. Mr. Westfall has traveled to many countries and he was an avid hunter, traveling out West to hunt as well as going to Africa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Glee Storie Westfall on March 20, 2011 and his siblings Don, Howard, Virginia, Freda, Stella, Lillie, Orvie, John, Fannie, Mary. Survivors include his daughters Sheila R. (Gary) Hampton, Laura (Greg) Brown, his grandchildren Benjamin Hampton, Sara (Scott) Krieger, Anddru (Sarah) Hampton, Eric Brown, Anthony Brown, Brian Brown, Trevor Brown and his great grandchildren Gracelin, Cain, Hutton, Shelbie, Cecelia, Jolean, Anddru, Sydney and Decklan. Calling hours will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday January 11, 2022 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday January 12, 2022 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Ravenna, Ohio. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio with full Military honors by the US Army and the Mantua American Legion.
