Raymond Ellis Butler was born April 26, 1922 and passed away January 29, 2022. He went to be with his Lord, and to be reunited with the love of his life, Majorie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocie and Mamie Butler; his wife, Majorie; son, Kenneth; daughter, Susan; and granddaughter, Tandy. He is survived by 3 grandsons and 6 great grandchildren.

Raymond and Majorie were married on Easter Sun., Apr. 5, 1942 at Fairview Methodist Church. they were married 69 years and 11 months. Raymond was a member of Fairview Methodist Church since 1931. Marjorie was a member before they were married.

Raymond enlisted in the Army Air Corps in October 1942, where he served for 39 months. He then went on to retire as a mail carrier.

A visitation for Raymond will be at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11 am; with a graveside service to follow at Elmwood Cemetery at 12.
