Billy Joseph Keen, 90, of Danville, VA entered his heavenly home on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at his residence.
He was born August 8, 1931, in Beech Bluff, TN to the late J. Douglas Keen and the late Indie Gurly Keen.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years, attaining the rank of First Sergeant.
He was predeceased by his parents and five siblings.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Hilde M. Keen; daughter Sylvia Hopper and husband, Mike of Danville, VA, two sons, Billy J. Keen, Jr. and wife Connie of Bumpass, VA, and Bruce W. Keen and wife Cathy of Lincoln, AL; three siblings, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541 with Pastor Bill Lavinder officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., also at the West End Chapel of Norris Funeral Services. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post #1097 of Danville.
