Mrs. Mary Virginia Barbour Wells, 87, went to be with her Lord at the home of her daughter Mrs. G W Clark in Chatham, VA. She was well known where she previously lived in the Swansonville Community of Pittsylvania County, VA.

She leaves the following sons and daughters, Howard Stern Wells, Joseph Kemper Wells, Maude Annie Wells Mitchell of Dry Fork, VA, Florence Morton Wells Mitchell of Danville, VA and Madie Blanch Wells Clark of Chatham.

She also leaves the following brothers and sisters, Celia Annie Barbour Mason, Malisha Elizabeth Barbour Boudurant and Mrs. Callie Prudence Barbour Haynes, all of Figsboro, VA, Mrs. James Millard Barbour of Wynands, VA and Sisley Maude Barbour Harvey of Dry Fork.

She also leaves 37 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Graveside funeral services were conducted at the Wells Cemetery in Swansonville by Reverend W C Clark.

Grandsons were pallbearers and the flowers were borne by grandaughters.
