Frank was born on a farm in Kansas. The family moved to Idaho when Frank was about 10 years old. He grew up with nine siblings and was the youngest son. When his older brothers left home because of WWII, Frank was left to help his father. He, too, was called away to serve in the army for two years during the Korean conflict. He returned home to farm until he was no longer physically able. His sons and grandchildren carry on the tradition that Frank loved. He married Cheryl Ann Simmons in 1957. They had three children, Jim, Brent and Bonnie. Frank was involved in many community groups and activities such as board member of the United Co-op. Frank and Cheryl were active supporters of youth groups. Much as he loved farming, Frank liked nothing better than to have family and friends gather in their home for food and fellowship.
