June Wardlaw of Stella, MO, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday morning December 2, 2012 in Neosho.

June started her life as the 8th child of Frank and Aretha "Evans" McCall on June 11, 1927 on a farm north of McCune, Kansas in Crawford County. In 1942 June and her family made the monumental event of moving the family farm to Minidoka County, Idaho from where June graduated from Rupert high school.

June was encouraged by a neighbor's wife, Ruth Van Every, to write letters to her younger brother who was serving overseas in WWII. That young man was Jack Wardlaw who upon returning from duty, June married in 1946. After marriage the couple moved back to McDonald County, where Jack was born and raised. June was a special Lady who loved her family very much. She was a devoted wife and homemaker who loved to read, sew and create beautiful quilts for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One special quilt she made has airplanes commemorating Charles Lindbergh's flight over the Atlantic which occurred the year she was born. June was also a member of the Pineville Christian Church.

June was preceded in death by her daughter Ellen "Wardlaw" Hollums, a sister Aretha Lopp, brothers; Maurice, Ralph, Dale and Robert as well as her husband William Jack Wardlaw, who passed away in 2005.

June is survived by two daughters; Susan Scott and husband Les of Greely, CO, and Janie Hall and husband Rick of Stella, MO, a son; Mark Wardlaw and wife Carole of Stella MO, seven grandchildren; Matthew Scott and wife Sarah of Fort Collins, CO, Libby Rogers and husband Kris of Pea Ridge, AR, Mandy Thibodeaux and husband Lance of Bentonville, AR, Dylan Hollums and wife Roberta of Bentonville, AR, Clay Wardlaw and wife Lindsay of Edwardsville, KS, Katie Verharst and husband Malachi of Renton, WA, and Kariann Wardlaw of Stella, MO, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers; Warren McCall and wife Ruth of Pasco, WA, and Frank McCall and wife Cheryl of Paul, ID, and three sisters; Mary Ashton and husband Les of Portland, OR, Anna Mae Van Every and husband Bill of Murrieta, CA, and Marjorie Armstrong of Belleve, WA as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for June Wardlaw will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri with Pastor Gary Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Wardlaw Cemetery in Brightwater, AR. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Clay Wardlaw, Matthew Scott, Dylan Hollums, Lance Thibodeaux, Malachi Verharst and Kris Rogers will honor June's life by serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Wilderness Ministry Institute, 5948 East Caley Ave.,Centennial, CO 80111.
