Michael J. Luttrell of South Barrington, IL died Wednesday, January 19th after an extended illness. Born in Chester, PA, he also lived in Aston and Ridley Park. He was a 1966 graduate of Archmere Academy and a 1970 graduate of Mount St. Mary's College. He later received his MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in Lake Forest, IL.
After college he joined the family funeral business. He was a former member of the Ridley Park Business Association and the Ridley Park Fire Co. He later entered the medical sales field, beginning with Baxter Healthcare, and then other home care and home respiratory care related companies.
While living in the greater Chicago area he became a devoted member of the choir of Old St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. He additionally performed as part of the Too Hot To Handle choir.
He was the son of the late J Irving and Anna Jean White Luttrell. He is survived by his daughter Margaret (Georgios) and his grandchildren Christina and Alex, all of Brussels, Belgium. He is also survived by brothers George (Anne) of Garnet Valley, Joseph (Karen) of Lone Pine, CA, and sister Helen Draviczky (Michael) of Wallingford.
Friends and family may call Friday morning January 28, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:45 at The Church of St. Madeline,400 Morton Avenue. Ridley Park, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am.
Because of his love of singing and devotion to the choir, the family requests memorial gifts may be made to the Auditorium Theatre at 50 E Ida B Wells Dr., Chicago, IL 60605.
