Hogoboom is a Dutch name and was spelled Hugeboom in that census. Around 1861 they moved to Jones County, Iowa. In 1869 they moved to Calhoun County, Iowa. Hannah died a year later in 1870 and Ebenezer remarried. Both Ebenezer and Hannah are buried in Calhoun County, Iowa.
