Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leonore with Rev. Mark Nowakowski, officiating. Burial will follow in Schrumpf Cemetery, Leonore. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of services, Tuesday at the church. Due to the current State of Illinois guidelines, face coverings will be required.
Mrs. Decker was born August 23, 1944 in Tonica to Roy and Margaret (Arndt) Kreiser. She married Leland Decker on September 15, 1962 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leonore. Mrs. Decker attended Tonica High School and beauty school in Spring Valley. She was a beautician for 45 years and worked for Merle Norman in Streator until she opened her own shop in Lostant.
Mrs. Decker was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leonore and the Lostant Ladies League. She enjoyed Bingo, cooking and baking, reading, crafting, playing cards, and slot machines. Mrs. Decker was always giving to others in need and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband: Leland of Lostant; three children: Don (Jolene) Decker of Tonica, Bill (Teresa) Decker of Algonquin, and Brenda (Jeff) Pugh of Tonica; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren with another one on the way; and four brothers: Pete, Jerry, Harry, and Mike Kreiser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson: Matthew Decker; sisters: Dot Munson, Neva Kreiser, Laura Trumpinski, and Martha Samolitis; brothers: Walt, Eddie, Richard, and Danny Kreiser.
Pallbearers will be Marc Riley, Brenton Valentine, Michael Decker, Jackson Decker, Andrew Ashley, and Brandon Huffman.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lostant Fire and Ambulance or the Lostant Ladies League.
