Vivian Marion Bryant, age 94, a long-time resident of Coraopolis, passed away peacefully at Golden Heights Assisted Living on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Vivian was born in Washington D.C. on February 23, 1927, one of five children born to the late Henry and Josephine H. (Cross) Johnson. Vivian was the oldest of her siblings who all preceded her in death Delores Julia Lucas, Gloria West, Alberta Yarbrough, and Charles Johnson. During WWII, she was proud to be a Messenger for the General Department of the Navy. Her travels took Vivian to New York where she met the love of her life, Norman J. Bryant, who she married on April 7, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2005. Vivian is survived by her four children: Janet Bryant of Chandler, AZ, Linda Bryant Thomas and husband Norman of North Huntingdon, Audrey R. Randall of Latrobe, and Eric N. Bryant of Coraopolis; six grandchildren Andre Bryant, Kristofer Thomas, Kandace Thomas Adams, Eric Bryant Jr., Tyler Bryant, and Maura Bryant; three great grandchildren who she adored: Vivian Adams, Christopher Kane Adams, Rowan Arthur Adams; brother-in-law Nelson Richard Bryant of California. Vivian was a dedicated Christian who loved her church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she was a member of Sybil Dickerson Missionary Circle and was an avid church fundraiser. She was an accomplished tailor and seamstress, working for several local cleaners. Vivian was involved with her husband in the Coraopolis Kiwanis Club and International Key Club. She loved vacations, cruises and traveling with her husband, family and friends. Supportive of her children, she was involved in Cornell Band Parents, and Girl Scouts. Vivian, a true lady, was a gracious and kind person. Visitation Sunday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland's Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Rev. Lisa Baldwin will officiate. Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery. "The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." Psalms 121:8
