"Mrs. Naomi E. Short, 45, of 2109 Fayette, North Kansas City, died Tuesday at Liberty Hospital after a long illness. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Short was a Baptist. She leaves her husband, Lewis O. Short of the home; two sons, Robert L. Short of Independence and Joseph D. Short of 1800 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Independence; a daughter, Mrs. Dianna Zeigler of 4037 N. Askew; her father, Robert Sandridge, and her mother, Mrs. Anna Mae Dempton, both of North Kansas City; a brother, Wayne Sandridge of Georgia; four sisters, Mrs. Mardell Shanks of 8700 E. 23rd Trafficway, Mrs. Laveta Parsons and Mrs. Darlene Petrie of North Kansas City and Mrs. Lucille Grey of Appleton City, Mo.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren."
