"Mrs. Laveta L. Parsons, 48, of 202 E. 9th, North Kansas City, died Thursday at Liberty Hospital after a long illness. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Parsons leaves a son, Gary M. Parsons of 8423 Central; her mother, Mrs. Mae Dempton of the home; a brother, Wayne Sandridge of Macon, Ga.; and three sisters, Miss Darlene Sandridge of the home, Mrs. Mardell Shanks of 800 E. 23rd, and Mrs. Lucille Gray of Appleton City, Mo.
