Kinnie Irene Bourne Shupe, left her earthly home in Fries, Virginia on January 17, 2022, to awake in her heavenly home.

She was born in Independence, Virginia on Jan. 23, 1935, to William Thornton and Elizabeth Virginia Burris Shupe.

Along with her parents, Kinnie was welcomed into paradise by twelve of her brothers and sisters who preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Lois Akers of Independence, Virginia and Judy Shupe of Frederick, Maryland; one sister, Paris Catron of Independence, Virginia; four grandchildren, Isaac Melton of the home, Natasha Hawks of Independence, Larry Redden of Sharpsburg, MD, and John David Redden of Bear, DE; five great-grandchildren, Bethany, Amanda, Chelsey, Destiny, and Cody; great-great-grandchildren, Austin, Dixie, and Gavin.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Centerview Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Greg Carrico and Harry Khalil, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Hackler Cemetery in the Pine Mountain Community of Independence, VA. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, VA is serving the Shupe family.
