POWNCEBY - On the 18th July, at 15 Manchester-street, Petone, Susan Pownceby, dearly beloved wife of John Pownceby, aged 61 years.
There died on Saturday at her residence in Manchester street, Petone, in her sixty-fifth year, a very old resident of the province in the person of Mrs john Pownceby. With Mr Pownceby she arrived in Wellington in 1871. For over twenty years her home had been in Petone. Three sons and five daughters are, with their father, left to mourn their loss.

Funeral Notice The Friends of Mr John Pownceby are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of his late beloved wife, Susan Pownceby, which will leave his residence, 15 Manchester-street, Petone, for the Taita Cemetery, on Tuesday, 21st July, at 2 o'clock.
