Funeral services for Jesse R. Whitaker, who died Wednesday night Jan 16, 1946 at 6:30 at his home, 326 Bonham St., will be held Friday afternoon Jan 18 at 3 o'clock at the Brown-Roden chapel. Nephews will be pallbearers and the Rev. J.T. Melton, Church of God pastor, will conduct the service. Mr. Whitaker was born March 22, 1898, at Howland. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Clinton Whitaker of Topeka, Kan., and Melvin Whitaker of Paris; three daughters, Mrs. Mignon Thompson, Wanda Jo and Lucille Whitaker of Paris; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Beadie Yates of Paris, Mrs. D.W. Jumper of Waco, Mrs. S.J. Wood of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Minnie James of Wichita Falls, and Mrs. Guy Stephens of Mineral Wells.
